Declutter your computer
We all need to do this
When we think of decluttering, we don’t often think of our electronics, and this might be because the “stuff” associated with these items is not tangible - the “files” and “emails” and “texts” in our computers do not take up table space, but that does not mean they do not need decluttering.
Look at this lovely picture - and doesn’t the computer look as organized as can be??? This can be deceiving because when we turn the device on, it could be loaded with files, and pictures, and and and - the list goes on. It is very important to make sure that your computer is only housing the things you need, and not congested with items that are not needed and perhaps unnecessary.
Is this declutter fun? No, but it is one that you can peck away at slowly whenever you have a few minutes. Start by deleting emails that you do not need anymore, they may even be ones that you never needed to begin with! Then you can dive into the deeper stuff like unneeded files, pictures that are outdated and just taking up space, and anything else that you can get rid of. Sometimes I get some advice from the internet on other areas you can find space (cache anyone? Digging in a bit deeper can really start to improve the functionality of your computer. If your home screen is cluttered with files, do they really need to be there? Remember, visual declutter can really start to get you down so turning on a computer and having a nice clean screen is the start to a better day and higher productivity.
I encourage you to spend some time this fall decluttering your computer, it will serve you well!
